As the school year approaches, Davidson County students received a vital boost to their health and readiness, thanks to a free medical and dental event held at Davidson Davie Community College. The event, which took place early Saturday, offered a variety of services including physical exams, eye exams, and dental screenings, all provided by local healthcare professionals who volunteered their time.

Parents expressed their gratitude for the services, with many noting the financial relief it provided. Kristi Nameth, a parent, highlighted the importance of the physical exam for her daughter, saying, “This fell at the perfect time to get her ready for her fall sports.” The event exceeded expectations, with over 100 children receiving care, showcasing the critical role community support plays in ensuring all students are prepared for the school year.
