Harnett Paramedics Earn Top Spot in NC Competition

The Harnett County EMS team, comprising Morgan Langdon and Jonathan Murphy, clinched the top position at the 32nd annual Paramedic Competition in Greensboro, marking their first state title win. Competing at the North Carolina EMS Expo, Langdon and Murphy excelled in a challenging mock emergency scenario, outperforming five other regional champions.

The event, held at the Joseph S. Koury Convention Center, featured teams facing a simulated car crash with multiple casualties. The duo showcased exceptional skill and professionalism, securing their victory amid cheers from their peers. Tom Mitchell, Chief of the N.C. Office of Emergency Medical Services, praised the competitors’ dedication and training, highlighting the importance of such events in enhancing emergency response capabilities across North Carolina.
