The Arts Council of Winston-Salem & Forsyth County is bringing vibrant energy to Tanglewood Park with the third event in its 9th Annual Parks Concert Series, a Summer Dance Social on September 8 from 2-5 p.m. This free, family-friendly event will feature Garba360, a high-energy community dance experience led by Heena Patel, founder of MELA Arts Connect. Attendees will be treated to live music from Ujjval Vyas Musicals and an immersive introduction to garba, a lively Western Indian folk dance traditionally performed at Indian weddings and the Hindu festival of Navratri.

Taking place at the Tanglewood Park Band Shell, the event offers a relaxed atmosphere where participants can dance, listen to live music, and enjoy arts activities. Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics, with food and beverages available for purchase on-site. In case of inclement weather, the event will move to the Milton Rhodes Center for the Arts in Winston-Salem.
