North Carolina’s board of elections offices have begun sending out vote-by-mail ballots across the state, following a two-week delay caused by the need to reprint ballots after Robert F. Kennedy’s withdrawal from the presidential race. Guilford County will dispatch approximately 9,000 ballots on the first day, while Forsyth County will send out about 8,000. Election officials are urging voters to complete and return their ballots promptly, emphasizing the need for two witnesses and proper identification. The deadline for returning completed ballots is November 5 at 7:30 p.m., either by mail or in person at the Board of Elections office or early voting sites.
