John Deere is set to expand its operations in Kernersville, Forsyth County, with a significant investment of $70 million to construct a new 380,000-square-foot factory. This expansion will add 150 jobs by 2030 and is expected to create a ripple effect, generating an additional 100 jobs in the area. The new facility will produce small excavators, adding to John Deere’s existing manufacturing footprint in the region.

The decision to expand in Kernersville is driven by the town’s strategic location, which offers excellent connectivity to highways, seaports, and airports, facilitating efficient logistics and supply chain management. Forsyth County commissioners have approved nearly a million dollars in incentives to support this development. The construction of the new factory will begin later this year, further cementing Kernersville’s role as a hub for advanced manufacturing and economic growth in the region.
