Country music star Luke Combs has announced plans to assist those affected by Hurricane Helene’s devastating impact on Western North Carolina. The storm, which brought up to 29 inches of rain to some areas, caused catastrophic flooding, destroying homes and infrastructure and claiming dozens of lives. Combs, a North Carolina native with strong ties to the region, expressed his heartbreak over the situation in a recent social media post.

While details remain undisclosed, Combs hinted at “something really special” being organized to help the Carolinas. The singer’s connection to the area runs deep, with his alma maters A.C. Reynolds High School in Asheville and Appalachian State University in Boone among the hardest-hit communities. As the region begins its recovery process, Combs joins other notable figures and organizations, including Panthers owner David Tepper and the Carolina Hurricanes, in pledging support for relief efforts.
