Residents of Alamance County now have a new resource for mental and behavioral health support with the opening of a comprehensive care center. The facility, a result of collaboration between the Alamance County Board of Commissioners, North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services, RHA Health Services, and Vaya Health, aims to provide a centralized location for those in need of care.

“This center is intended as a place for people in need to come,” said Steve Carter, Vice Chair of the Alamance County Board of Commissioners. The center offers a variety of services, including mental health support, substance use recovery, clinical assessments, medication management, and peer support. It serves both adults and children, offering a much-needed resource for families in the county. “It’s a start,” Carter added, expressing hope that the center will address long-standing gaps in mental health and substance abuse services in the area.
