Brought by the GRAMMY Museum in Los Angeles, a new exhibit named “The Power of Women in Country Music” is coming to the North Carolina Museum of History this Friday. Featured artists include Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Rosanne Cash, Shania Twain, Reba McIntyre and Taylor Swift, as well as North Carolina artists Rhiannon Giddens, Rissi Palmer, and Kasey Tyndall. People who are interested to come to the exhibit can now purchase their tickets.

On the third floor of the museum, which requires the purchase of a separate ticket, the exhibit will display some clothing and instruments used by these artists. Visitors should also take a look at the gift shop, which includes merch featuring Swift, Parton, and other country music artists. To celebrate the opening of the exhibit, there will be a free event this coming Saturday, where visitors can enjoy activities such as listening to local bluegrass bands and building a guitar or ukulele.
